What to Bring to Take an Assessment Test

Items required to take an assessment test:

  • SMC student ID number (7-digit ID number provided when applying to SMC)
  • Valid government-issued photo identification, such as a passport, driver’s license, military ID or state ID.
  • Government-issued passport (F1 visa students only)

Note: SMC may ask for a secondary form of photo identification

Items not allowed:

  • Personal calculators
  • Food or drink
  • Any electronic devices

Dictionaries, calculators, materials or devices not authorized by the proctor are prohibited. Failure to follow directions and disregard testing instructions will result in termination of your testing session, followed by a disciplinary procedure.
